Anonymous asked: Hey Ceej!! I know this might be a weird question...but do you have any advice on drawing Filipino noses? A long time ago when I tried doing a self portrait, I had someone tell me I didn't look Filipino enough and that I changed my nose when in reality it was just a bad drawing and I messed up on my flat nose OTL that was years ago but now it's a huge insecurity of mine when I try to draw myself;;;;

What I have gathered for staring at people all the time Here’s the common Filipino noses:

It’s our faces that makes our noses match the complexion.

We’re nearly same as Malaysians, Indonesians, Thai, and other Asian countries not too far from ours (we have more mix of Spanish though). This is just the common/non-exaggerated example. Most of us already have mixed with other nationalities so some of the ppl have sharper noses, high bridged ones, paler skin, etc. Not saying we have flat noses. We have different types of noses SO LONG AS our bridges and concaves are lower than our eyes, cheekbones are more forward than nose, nostrils, and probably small noses, that makes our faces flatter.

This is only upon my observation, go and check more references for Filipino faces to be sure.

Anonymous asked: Hey! You're comic for Zag looked great! Are they making you draw the whole thing as reference? Or just a small segment? Are they gonna at least let you release you're version? You're comics are the best and I really wanna read yours! (Why aren't they printing yours if they had you draw fully drawn/colored art? Did they explain?)

Helloo! Sadly, my love, I only drew tests for references and there won’t be any ML comic with my art.

Anonymous asked: Heyy, holaa, i have a question, can i be a professional photographer, a really good drawer like you and a professional dancer at the same time? Sorry for my english, and I love u and saludos desde venezuela!

Of course you can xD

Anonymous asked: You're art style is so different on paper do you know why that is? It's not just for you either like a lot of artist have a different drawing style whenever they draw on something they don't normally post

I ask myself that too;; probably bc I can clean up and do whatever in digital and traditional is the “whatever looks nice bc the paper might rip if I’m not careful” type so it look more like semi-portraits, semi-realistic anime? I’m not sure.

Anonymous asked: Hey I'm just gonna shoot an unpopular opinion and I just wanna know how you feel about it. Don't get me wrong I love Ladybug, but the way Marinette acts around Adrien seems very... marysue to me. Wish I could love their relationship more but Marinette is just so annoying when she fangirls over Adrien. But with Ladybug and Cat Noir I just love their chemistry. Cat Noir has a crush on Ladybug yet he acts so natural around her. I want to love Mari but her interacting with Adrien just annoys me!!!

I agree at some part bc sometimes she’d do reckless/selfish things when it comes to Adrien, that’ll turn to hurt others (namely Lila and Max). Those are the parts that I don’t like about her (even in the end she fixes em anyways) but other than that, her fangirling and stuttering are fine with me. I don’t blame her though. If you’re a teenage girl who’s overwhelmed with your crush, then even you will never know what you’ll do to just see them or be with them even for a bit. That’s a part of Marinette’s character. And I’ve also went through the same stage so I’d take it as something not rare xD

Anonymous asked: Hey Ceej! So you said you got serious about drawing when you were in high school. I was just wondering if you had any trouble from your parents and family about idk like drawing too much, maybe got criticized about it? (basically where i am at in my life atm)

Never did. My dad is an artist too. My mom is a businesswoman but she supports me on my choices. So long as I have good grades (or pass hs lol) then I’m good to go. Just remember to do your responsibilities well and have good grades, basically your parents or fam will let you do what you like.

But if it’s like, drawing generally, being judged bc it won’t get you anywhere, or get you a job, that it’s a useless work, that is not entirely true. Look where it got me, and the other professional artists and directors. If it’s for a hobby, then it’s not really a bad thing either. It makes you pass time, make you happy, like everyone else’s hobby. It’s only a bad thing if it harms your grades, health, fam, those sorts (if you like got overly addicted but I’m sure you’re not like that)

That’s likely normal when it comes to drawing, because it’s only “fun”. But you don’t need to worry ‘  v   ‘ do what you do and don’t listen to other peeps!
