Anonymous asked: Hi~ I was just curious, your FAQ says your from the PHL but you don't really understand Tagalog. Does that mean you speak another dialect or you didn't grow up in the PHL? Or an area that mostly learn and speak English (like the areas by American bases)? If this is too personal of a question, I understand, I was just a little curious~~~
Nono, I meant I do understand the everyday language ones, only English is the easiest for me. Also like, it’s really hard for me to read Filipino? I’m slow at it and get confused with the syllables, sometimes miss syllables, which I might mistake the sentence if it happened or it’s still gonna happen, or if it meant something else. I speak English most of the time, I speak Filipino too (for question and answer) but when it comes to explaining, I have to speak English.
I grew up in a Montessori school and a certain Catholic school, wherein kids are required to speak English, most of my friends are English speakers, too. I barely have a conversation with anyone at home and also with my relatives. I read a lot of English, zero reading Filipino, same with watching whatever.
