I've been submitting art to tumblr for 3 years now and I never got many notes, even though I had a miraculous post once that got about 2000 notes, I usually don't get more than 7 in each drawing. I don't believe I draw badly, I actually think that right now my art is very pretty. I thought that with time things would get better but they're kinda going backwards.. Can you give me some advice on tumblr popularity?
I guess you post stuff that has meatier content. Like what would you think ppl would like to see? Aesthetics? Fandom? Funny or angry posts? I started with just posting doodle comics that I made out of the blue and it wasn’t like the nice art I post that took me 5 hours to finish and only had like, 6 notes TTw TT so ye meatier content. If you’re contented with your art then that’s good! But from my experience, the last thing people will look at is your art. Yes it’s harsh ; w ;
But you know, beb, if you draw for notes, that’s doesn’t really make you improve. I know and I understand it’s that you can never tell whether your art is good or bad because of the notes, same here too. But I know A LOT of way better artists than me. Seeing their art still makes me feel that I still have a long long way to go. So it’s the same ol practice and hard work ‘ v ‘ I don’t know much about you anon (cuz your an anon lmao) I haven’t seen your art but I’m happy that you say that you’re content with your art and that’s really cool! But since you only ask for popularity then there, contents is what they look for ; w ;
