Thick bacon Quiche
You’ll need :
One puff pastry dough (the big circle kind, that goes in a pie mold)
200gr thick cut bacon
3 eggs
20cl sour cream
100gr grated cheese
salt
pepper
How to ?
Mix in a bowl, eggs, sour cream and cheese. That’s called the apparel, it’s litteraly the base of your quiche
Salt and pepper
Put your dough in your mold
Make little holes with a fork on your dough
Mix the bacon in the apparel
Pour the bowl on the dough
180°C in the oven for about 20 min
Tips and Infos :
You can actually put cheese on the top too !
Once you got your apparel, and your dough, you can put anything you want. My dad’s favourite is zucchini and tuna, it’s really good
You can do tomates and goat cheese or leek and chicken
Some vegetables like the zucchini one for example have to be cooked before actually putting them in the quiche
When it’s done, it should be slightly jiggly, but it shouldn’t be liquid !
You can enjoy quiche warm or cold
It goes well with salad
If you wanna to make a light quiche ! Use milk instead of sour cream, and/or put a bit of flour. And use chicken instead of bacon
The actual name of that quiche is actually Quiche Lorraine
Lorraine being a region of France
