I don’t know why the fandom hates this character so much. Was she annoying and weak in part 1? Well, she was a 12 year old girl with a huge crush on a boy. She let her emotions get the best of her at times… because she was 12. She was weaker than her teammates because sometimes she had her priorities mixed up (focusing on her beauty and attracting Sasuke more than training).
In other words…

perfect?!
She had and still has flaws just like everyone else. But her character developed. She used to hate Naruto and Lee and thought that Sasuke was the epitome of perfection. Now she admires Naruto and Lee and sees Sasuke’s flaws.
Tsunade, the fifth hokage, let Sakura be her apprentice because she must have noticed Sakura had potential. Now she’s a great medical ninja that could probably surpass Tsunade, and she’s only 16!
So in my opinion, you have no excuse to say Sakura is useless. I mean, if you want to hate her, that’s your right I suppose. But to call her useless? … No.

The Sakura hate is getting overrated.
- Her appearance has nothing to do with her character; if you care that much how big her head is or how small her breast are, the problem is your shallowness, not her.
- She tries her best despite being born from a non-superhuman family.
- She didn’t do much in part 1 because her development was in the background for Sasuke and Naruto’s development; blame Kishimoto for putting male bonds ahead of everything else.
- Her healing saved many people’s lives; including Kankuro’s, Hinata’s, and Naruto’s. Calling her “useless” is a real understatement.
- Breaking her friendship with Ino over a boy was wrong, but it was about gaining her independence. They reconciled later in the series. They got over it, so why don’t you.
- She doesn’t have many fight scenes because she’s not allowed to fight being a medic. She’s capable of defending herself, as you can see from her fight with Sasori. If she wasn’t capable of anything, she wouldn’t be a Chuuin and Tsunade would have never taken Sakura under her wing. Face it, the girl has talent.
- She lied about her confession to protect Naruto, not to be evil and manipulative. She was trying to help Naruto but in the wrong ways. She’s human, she makes mistakes. Get over it.
- She’s allowed to love whomever she wants! If you don’t approve of SasuSaku, that’s fine, but that doesn’t make her a bad person for loving him even when he went crazy tried to kill her. She’s not stupid, she’s aware he’s getting worse which is why she try to kill him. She’s not pursuing Sasuke the same way she was in the beginning of the series. She’s changed.
- STOP VICTIMIZING HER! Sakura cries and she feels depress because she feels sorry for Sasuke and feels guilty for how her team is falling apart, not because she’s being abused. Sasuke tried to kill her because she tried to kill him first. She wasn’t afraid of him, she was nervous because she loves him so she didn’t have the guts to kill him. Repeat after me: Sakura is not a victim of abuse!
- She doesn’t owe Naruto anything! He did nice things for her, but not to gain her love. If he is, she doesn’t have to love him for it. LOVE IT NOT ABOUT DESERVING. Sakura is not a prize for Naruto’s heroism.Not returning Naruto’s feelings for her doesn’t make her a bad person either. She respects him, she’s grateful to him, but she doesn’t have to be in love with him. Like I said, she’s allowed to love whomever she wants. The “Nice Guy” excuse is seriously shallow and senseless. (This goes to LeeSaku as well).
- She’s is not in between NaruHina, SasuNaru, SasuKarin, or any other pairings. KNOCK. IT. OFF. If a pairing doesn’t become canon, it’s because of the feelings of the people within the pairing. It’s not her fault and it has nothing to do with her. Not everything is about OTPs!
Sakura is the most human out of all the Naruto characters. She fucks up, a lot. But that’s the charm of her character. She symbolizes that you don’t have to be perfect to be awesome; that’s pretty much the theme of the fucking story! Bashing her for her flaws is like beating the dead horse into powder. It’s getting old people.
Haters, repeat this over and over and over and get it tattooed all over yourself until it’s fixed into your memory. Like, right now.
