OOh and thank you, you are not prying but I’m happy you approach me for this… hmmmmm…. (I’ll give you general tips because I love you ‘ v ‘)

You’ll expect a looooooooooooooooooot of drawing of course. Ever since since college started, drawing is none stop, I still practice until now. We have so much exercises, from traditional basic shapes, painting, and traditional 2D to the technical stuff 3D, Flash, MAYA script, all that shizzes. We are taught through exercises. Through there, we slowly understand how hard but fun it is being on this job. If you’re passion is drawing then you’ll will enjoy college even though you won’t get enough rest because of working.

In difficulties, ok this one’s very important my friend. You’ll have to deal with hard work and consider your weaknesses. Mine is that I have ADHD and I’m bad at class discussions specially when it comes to technical subjects (3D, Flash, Script Editing) technical stuff are hard to remember (at least to me) because you don’t just memorize em, you need to understand their areas and why is it like this and like that, like a person TTw TT those are the maths there. So what I do is ask help from friends, professors, and take notes when I need to.   

You will have NO SLEEP or if you still want to have at least enough rest, don’t cram. Motivation is hard to find especially when you have so much work to do, you tend to procrastinate and you’ll work on the assignment on the last day of deadline. I can’t tell you to not procrastinate because it’s actually an emotional state rather than a thing you do. So just consider that to your weaknesses instead. I get irritated if I don’t draw some fanart or just art while there’s work to be done. In that way, I stop working on my assignment. So what I do is procrastinate fast (I include procrastination on my sched lol) like one artwork done will calm my nerves and I’m able to finally focus on work (you will notice I posted so much artwork last month day after day/week after week because I’m in the middle of Finals ; W  ;) Yes, I’m giving a long advice about cramming because CRAMMING is the biggest fart in your studies since you’ll be given so much work and it will come with so much stress.

COMPUTER PROBLEMS. There’s gonna be crashing and hanging because of the software you use. Research some specifications when you buy one then baby your computer. 

Study tips: Practice on different styles, basic figures, body poses and learn from observing real life not those “Learn How to Draw Manga” because you’ll learn backwards.Learn how to draw fast (doodling will help) For animating, observe real life movements and effects (stare at the fire or keep splashin that water). Image reference won’t hurt but DON’T COPY, just study “how” and “why” is it like that. Practice, practice, practice O 3 O 

Ooh and you’ll need so much concept ideas for you’re assignments too, this one’s up to you. Any idea of yours will be great ‘ u  ‘ You’ll find schoolmates who are better at drawing than you, don’t be degraded. You can do it Q 3 Q 

Animation is really fun, but just loads of work and concentration plus cool friends and awesome teachers ‘ v  ‘
