I love Tsukki being unsatisfied with his performance, because that’s so very Tsukki. And I love Mangastream for their amazing scanlations. But their translations can be quite liberal and I think they missed the mark in this scene.
We see Tsukki regret being overpowered by Ushijima right till the very end.
Mangastream translates his words to Yamaguchi as: “How many did you miss?” Go on, say it to me.” But he actually says:
“何本か” なんて言っといて、止めたのはたった1本だよ 5セットもあったのにね かっ
I said [I would stop] “a few”, but I only managed to stop one singlespike. Although we played five sets. How unco—
This is a reference to chapter 163 when Tsukki says:
[I can’t win against Ushijima], but I’m thinking about blocking a few balls.
He’s upset he couldn’t keep his word. He starts calling himself uncool, but Yamaguchi interrupts to say:
カッコ悪いワケないじゃんバカなの
There’s no way that’s uncool. Are you an idiot?
Yes, Yamaguchi just called Tsukki an idiot (baka). Don’t know whyyyy Mangastream left that out.
