I saw Master and Commander today and it was super inspiring. Sooo I drew Hans being admiral, like he was originally intended to be.
Okay, headcanon time: imagine the time period of Frozen is set after the Napoleonic wars. Norway (aka Arendelle) had been owned by Denmark (the Southern Isles) for about 5 centuries. Now, in this war Denmark was on the side of the French, and Hans was admiral of the Danish navy at the time. But the French lost this war, and so did Denmark, who then had to give up Norway/Arendelle. As admiral, Hans feels responsible for the defeat and leaves to Arendelle hoping to marry Elsa, in an attempt to reclaim Arendelle and restore his pride.
