Can we talk about how these two dumbasses were never in an actual relationship or have made promises to each other? So he cannot ask her for an actual photo like normal sweethearts, and she would want to wait until the war’s over anyway. Priorities man. Shit to avenge and all that stuff.

So what does he do? He goes off and finds a newspaper that has her picture on it, CUTS IT OUT AND PASTES IT ON THAT DAMN COMPASS. And let’s not forget he’s a bonafide artist, he goes to a freaking art school, and what’s to stop him just to draw her instead? But he’s probably all like, no I can’t do her justice and all that sappy stuff. 

I just want to laugh at his OH SHIT expression when he realizes the camera was zooming in the compass. Watch how fast he snaps it shut and squirrels it away and practically runs out of the frame. What an idiot.

And then I remember he has to crash a plane down, to keep people safe, with only that picture of Peggy and her voice keeping him company, and I cry myself to sleep.
