scorpivvs-deactivated20170604 asked: hii ceej! :) i should probably not tell you my problems but how did you overcome the taunts and statements like: "you'll never make it!" or even "why would you take that [course]? it won't od you any good!" because, apparently i am suffering from it and i don't know what to do or what to say! I have made up my mind on choosing animation/mma as my course in college but my parents are against it :( i don't know what to do now... // im so sorry for telling you my problemss T-T

It’s ok! I think it’s kinda normal, even for me ;w ; those words are “tests”, even if they came from your parents, very important people for you, or even experienced people. It’s up to you if you want to listen to them. No one’s really stopping you, but only you if you will it. For it to work, you’re going to have to prove them all wrong. One of the parts of growing up too ‘ v  ‘

An example from mine is, my parent’s no. 1 rule was “STUDY FIRST. NO BOYFRIEND.” Of course you can’t help it when you found a person that makes you happy and you want to spend time with them. I was scared but I dated the guy anyway, without my parents’ permission. But of course we worked hard to earn our parents’ trust, because we don’t want to hide and do it badly. We studied hard while dating and we had set rules. Yep, we proved em wrong. In a while, my parents approved of us and we’re four years now! We also had those usual gossip (like what you’re parents assume what art is) whispers and some looked at us badly cuz in our country, kids who date are a bad sight? Like they always assume that we’ll do stupid things. We don’t listen to those cuz they don’t really know what their sayin TTw TT we’re just chill and it’s not really their business Uw U

So yep, same with yours. I had friends who were forced to shift because of that. It’s not really new in the art industry TTw TT ppl degrade you because you only “draw” and ppl think it’s easy. It’s really the same with every other job really. Even if you’re a doctor, an engineer, or a lawyer, you’re going to have to work hard to get a higher position. In arts, you’re gonna have to practice more to be great so companies can scout you. Work harder to make lots out of it. You will also hear lots of that (the things you always hear) everyday and most of the time.

Reality stews us all but you can only stew it back.

Good luck my dear and God bless you!

I hate to ask things of people, but please, if you can, donate or reblog this so that people can help!

He is my friend, and he’s a transman with PTSD, Agoraphobia, Mysophobia, and general anxiety disorder. He can’t get a job due to these, and his roommate lied to him about helping with rent and abandoned him and his partner.

They have 5 days to gather $850 or they will be evicted, and become homeless, and as their family life caused these mental health issues, they cannot go home.

If you cannot, please, I beg that you reblog, it’s very urgent….

Thank you
