Anonymous asked: in terms of 'practice and observe' when it comes to art, do you recommend trying to draw off of references and emulate another artist's style, or to just try to draw things your own way?

It’s best if you draw things your own way. You can also check other artists’ style and find out how they see objects by the way they drew them. Look at various references, it depends on you on which ones you like to learn from (realistic, anime, cartoons, etc) everything you find is a reference. That’s what I meant by observing. For practicing, literally means non stop drawing till you get the thing right xD

Anonymous asked: ceej!! i'm thinking about changing my major in college to digital arts (i want to do animation) but i'm scared!! i'm not the best drawer :c what should i do??

I dunno what’s in digital arts but I think you’ll be able to learn lotsa tools there if you plan to do lots of digital drawings. I prefer animation tho, bc that’s where drawing is very strict, but if you say you’re not the best, you’ll get to learn lotsa things there. But  I don’t think, it matters? o .  o cuz if you want to be good at drawing, whether you choose animation, digiarts, multimedia, medicine, or even law, you need to practice on your own. So whichever you choose, you still get to learn how to draw if you work hard ‘ v  ‘
